I’ll be bringing back the BIG FAN tournaments, but in a slightly different way: The bi-weekly (every 2 weeks) tournaments will return.
It will only be effic from now and I’m not 100% on it, but it’ll most likely usually be on sundays now. Keep an eye out for the announcements to make sure which day it will end up being. ^^
The first one being 18:00 CET Sunday, the 21st of December, 2025.
The important announcement here is that I want to try something new: A ranking of the effic duel players throughout the year: Combining all results in a tournament setting to create a top 15 / 20 depending on activity. This ranking won’t be made purely on objective stats, but also be subjective because it’s really hard to compare players to eachother, so I wanna create a panel of players to talk about and create these rankings, which means I’m looking for people interested to do this with me. :D
I’ll be keeping the stats of all tournaments of 2026, and things like head to head scores will be taken into account to create a hopefully accurate ranking of the best players of the year.
This kind of ranking only makes sense if we have regular consistent competitive games throughout the year, which is why I’m bringing BIG FAN back, but also will be hosting other, less regular effic duel tournaments (unless anyone else will be doing that :P). You know how we usually have 2-3 big tournaments per year.
As I said, we will be figuring it out as the year progresses to create an accurate and fair ranking. :D
Info about the upcoming BIG FAN EFFIC TOURNAMENT:

This means the next one, and first one counting for the yearly Sauer Ranking will be on the 4th of January, 2026.
Double elimination, best of 3 on winners side, best of 1 losers side.
Pick, pick, veto in winners. Veto in losers.
Higher seed picks first. Lower seed vetos first.
Grand finals: Bracket reset. Player coming from losers side has to win 2 best of 3 sets, while player from winners side has to win 1.
Map pool: academy, frozen, haze, ot, turbine
