Dear participants,
Upload your map on your topic as soon as possible as this is the last day to construct. So be sure you upload your participation the next couple of days!
As a reminder to every participant, be sure the zip-file (uploaded as attachment) contains:
Files which aren't required but very welcome to be more professional and polite towards the original author(s);
- .txt-file for being a readme (for copyright-related things)
or .cfg file (if your map has one) - .wpt (makes it easier to review).
It should also meet the standards of the Packaging Guide, which can be found in the next link;
http://quadropolis.us/node/226Voting PeriodThe next couple of weeks (till 28 June 2015) you should check out other participants, give feedback on their maps and rate the map.
There are some rules on rating maps;
- Only ratings of participants count
- The average score of all participants is the final result (minus any penalties like being unfinished or joining late)
- Rating with a non-solid number will be rounded up or down
- You can't rate your own map
- The rating on a map can't be the same rated as that of another map
- Any ratings posted later than 28 June 2015 are invalid.
During the voting period, you are allowed to improve the map as reaction towards feedback. However, this shouldn't be considered as extra mapping time as someone could rate your map on 8 June 2015 at 0:01 GMT and stick to that.
An example of rating another participant;
Nice map! I like it that you preserved the theme. Obviously the textures are different as the ones in the original are copyrighted, but you've solved this quite well by picking the textures of Blikjebier as those look realistic towards another textures within Sauerbraten.
The flow is a little cramped. The doorways feel too narrow to walk through easily. They look exactly like the original in it's dimensions, but the fact that Sauerbraten has a way faster running speed shouldn't be ignored.
This map deserves a 7/10 in my opinion.
