My very old script, from 2019 or so, still works, it was part of cH' (CoopHopes) map pack long ago...
For people who have a lot of custom maps, this helps as it can preview multiple columns of content.
Thankfully, Sauerworld won't let me attach 2 KiB file because file extension is '.cfg', link:

Download raw, use Git from command line interface, edit if you want to:

Mods / eU Texture Set

eU Texture Set --- created by famous Yves Allaire

Adapted to Cube 2 game engine by Ognjen 'xolatile' Milan Robovic, aka '7Year' in-game.
I'm not converting anything to damn JPG or JXL image file format, PNG is *the* format.
Cube 2 game engine uses JPG for most things, except normal maps and some textures...
All textures here are PNG, file size is slightly larger, but that's irrelevant for anyone, right...?
Loading times per map (texture hashing) will be a bit longer, but it's fine...?

Changes:
--- Converted TGA textures into PNG to save file size (lol), few bytes here and there.
--- Split few textures so mappers don't have to offset textures manually.
--- Resized textures to fit map scale which was very game engine specific.
--- Recompressed images due to using ImageMagick (convert / mogrify) and edited channels.
--- Renamed textures due to my autism and little free time that I had.
--- Few images have modified RGBA channels, again, due to game engine specific shaders.
--- Added few base CC0 textures from website 'ambientcg.com' for combinations.

There'll never be better duel map than Sand Turbine, according to gospel of Luke, 13:77, but we tried.

Simple noob friendly FFA duel map, for newer players, inspired by map Maple by Fixxxer...
This map wasn't playtested, it was lost for years, thanks to swatllama for recovering it for me.

Maps / Xoylent --- FFA map

Port of popular Nexuiz map Soylent, which was ported to Xonotic as Xoylent, now ported to Sauerbraten...
In FFA mode map is for duels, in Efficiency and Instagib it can be played up to 4 players in total, in team modes up to 2 per team.
Layout was ported manually, by the feeling, then adapted to Cube 2 specific physics, movement and jump height...

SaueracleOS is a web tool that simulates an operating system entirely dedicated to Sauer, it allows you to create and explore Sauer-inspired files, including maps.



You may already be familiar with interfaces like chatgpt that allow you to interact with large language models. SaueracleOS is based on the same principle, but everything runs in a Sauerbraten context. You can discuss with a Sauer "community" using Cubicle, for example:



You can delve into endless folders and files that mimic Sauerbraten content using LoopFiles:


Everything is generated on the fly and you can create your own folders and files and see their contents appear.



... but the best use case of SaueracleOS is Josias The Mapper, a .ogz file generator that tries its best to follow your text instructions:


And if for some reason Josias is not being detailed enough, you can open the .jsocta files generated by him and edit them manually.


Although somewhat incomplete, SaueracleOS is an old idea that is now a reality thanks to the availability of the WebSim generative API. I can't say how long it will be available, but while it is, I'm happy to be able to share it without going bankrupt for now :P
