Looking for "volunteers" or hiring without pay
« on: February 17, 2015, 11:57:32 PM »

I am looking for people to help me start up a new little game creation studio. I would like to call it Z-Tech Studios. I want people who are passionate about games who have some experience working on games(If not I can send you a link to a youtube channel). I am looking for concept Artists, texture Artists, level designers, Modelers, Programmers, Musicians, advertisers, and Writers(Must have done some work in interactive writing). Applications should be written like:

Name(First and Last):
Are you over the age of 14(Yes or No):
What position are you applying for:
Previous works(Please provide links):
Skype(if you have one):
Why should I "hire" you:

I'm sorry when I say hire I mean let you volunteer on the games as I can't pay anyone at this time.
For now we will use Sauerbraten's built in engine

I might be interested, how old are you?

This is no place to advertise your products. If it isn't about sauerbraten, then we don't want to see this on our forum

I'm 15 but have some background in Graphic Design(I know, not a big one). I have also worked on some games but was always held back by not being able to do some stuff like sounds and engine programming.

The studio will use Sauerbraten as its engine so every game that comes out of it (at least for now) will be based on Sauerbraten's code

I'm not really interested but perhaps make a post on the cube engine forums

This is my game development/porn-production studio called PTec. Maybe we can merge and name it PZTec?

No, seriously: If you want to attract people for your project provide more information about what you want to do (you mentioned a youtube link). Especially artists of all kind only start working with you when they see something which is promising. Since you seem to want to create graphics, maybe you can help here or look at the Inexor project.

The people here focus on comed/sdos already so P@triot is probably right by pointing you to the cube engine forums if you want to do your own stuff.

Good Luck!

I did post something on the cube forums. It's not only graphics I need though I want to start a studio and I need more people who can help with the engine development, and game development. I do not have all the skills required. I have posted some things on other forums like gamedev.net

If I am going to work on a project that won't give me pay, why wouldn't I just do my own thing? I could make it exactly how I like, rather than being  constricted.

If you ever want to talk seriously and offer pay, hit me up; otherwise, I can't be bothered.

We aren't trying to restrict you in fact we basically let you do your own thing what I'm trying to do is make a group that allows each developer has someone to help them with things that they can't do at the time and I am going to pay people but I can't at the time so people can't get payed until we release something

This guide is a bit hard to find, since the cube wiki seems to be down, but it's on the cubeengine forums.
Maybe you should read through this:

http://cubeengine.com/forum.php4?action=display_thread&thread_id=1562&start=0

Good luck anyways.
