Title: Multilingual phrases
Post by: subbed74 on July 04, 2015, 01:27:15 AM
I've collected different phrases that could be used Sauerbraten in different languages.  The file currently contains English (obviously), Dutch, French, German, Portuguese, Spanish, and Russian.

Thank you to Katja, BaBoo, a-monster, Galaxy, Sparta, and greenadiss for the submissions.

Feel free to submit any translations and/or suggest any phrases that should be in here.

Very  nice, but what's the practical use of it?
There are some flaws for English - Dutch;
Shoot red only - schiet alleen rood
Fix your connection - repareer je verbinding

It is not very important, but there are some  mistakes in the Spanish column.
Every exclamative sentence starts with " ¡ " (I guess you don't have that).
It is not "conección" but "conexión", same happens with "compaños" which is "compañeros". "Última" instead of "Ultima".
And that's all. In addition, South America people add an "a" in some adverbs (like "afuera"), which in Spain is most used as "fuera".
Anyway, it is a nice idea and I hope I helped with this :)

The point is to at least be able to warn people who are teamkilling and such in their language instead of assuming that people can speak English.

Corrections have been made.  Version 1.1 is reuploaded in the original post

Version 1.1:
Spanish - Added "¡"; Ultima -> Última; compaños -> compañeros; conección -> conexión
Dutch - aleen -> alleen (Typo); Fix je connectie -> Repareer je verbinding
Moved Spanish to be beside Portuguese

Version 1.2:
Portuguese - Aitre -> Atire (Typo); Avi -> Aviso; Perdo -> Pode (Galaxy)

Darn typos...
