Title: In-game voice chat
Post by: h8 on October 09, 2016, 03:44:55 PM
Sauer is extremely fast paced which makes teamwork essential. It's impossible to do that via typing in-game. Most modern/popular games these days have some kind of in-game voice chat where you can discuss strategy (dota2/ cs:go).

Wonder if this is possible for Sauer? Sure there will need to be a mute option too. :)

As an open source gaming community, we use mumble since along time.

sadly big servers like nooblounge or ogros are now gone/unpopular. however there are still some mumble servers around hosted by clans, but mostly empty.

web2.0 fags now prefer to use discord, you find all infos on sauerworld.org

I just installed discord, looks great so far. There isn't a server specific voice channel but I see Sauer #1,2,3,...all empty though. And other clan channels that I can't join.

Guess it's impossible to implement something like the voice chat system in cs:go to sauer?

I done a VoIP client/server as part of a group project earlier this year, take a look at the notes, maybe something will appeal to you/someone else:
