What is the mouse you are using and it's settings?
« on: June 23, 2018, 10:02:10 PM »
Hey I saw this document that seemed interesting:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/193K7N8IuRTrlDlBJkmtTxk5YKT0WXPgSedFrJZ5xx3g/edit#gid=1508641194

It basically records the mouse that pro players use, it's DPI and in-game settings. It also shows us other peripherals.

I would be willing to make a similar document for Sauer players, please reply to this post with:

1. Your Mouse
2. Your DPI
3. Your in-game sens
4. cm/360
5. Any comments about the mouse.

1. Mouse: Microsoft WMO.
2. DPI: 800
3. Ingame sens: 3.0
4. CM/360: Not exactly sure, 26 or so probably.
5. Comments:
I'm not sure if this wmo is made by some shitty chinese manufacturer or some less shitty one. I had one for a couple years that started having sensor problems so I had to replace it. These mice usually last a long ass time. No issues so far with this one (around 2 years on this too now). Scroll wheel sucks.
Oh, mousepad: Steelseries Qck+. The front part of it hangs off my desk and the left 8  inches are taken up by my keyboard. Also a ton of dried birdshit on the front.

About the list in the topic post: You're not going to see a huge diversity in mice brands in massive pro games because the players don't pay for their mice, they get sponsored and given a model of their choice. For example, Cypher of quake used to use a wmo, got sponsored by Razer, and switched to some Razer mouse, which he might've performed slightly worse with before he got used to it.

1. Your Mouse --- Cobra II e-blue
2. Your DPI --- 800
3. Your in-game sens ---- 1.8
4. cm/360 ---- 25
5. Any comments about the mouse.

Its actually a new mouse i got few days ago. I had some random old shit for 3 years. This one helped me a lot to get better in insta. But still have a problem to make a good flagruns because it needs a time for me to get used to it. It does not fit to my hand as the previous mouse. I am testing DPI and sensitivity right now, i prefer lower sensitivity, usually around 1.2 - 1.6.

1. Zowie FK1
2. 400dpi
3. 3.54 sens, 0.13 accel, default sens scale 3.4 sens no accel
4. not constant (accel) but approximately 20-25 30cm/360
5. I like the mouse a lot, it was a bit tough to adjust to coming from the much larger and non-ambidextrous-shaped MS Intellimouse but it's very comfortable for me to use. Scroll wheel has held up well so far which was an issue I had with the Intellimouse since I scroll to switch weapons.

1. Logitech g502
2. 400 dpi
3. Your in-game sens - 2
4. cm/360 - 45cm
5. its a bigger, heavier mouse than most, so if you want something light, i dont recommend this.

1. Mouse: Logitech G502
2. DPI: 800
3. In-game sens: 3.0
4. Cm/360: ~15cm
5. Comments about the mouse:

The G502 has an amazing, ergonomic feel to it and provides more than enough buttons for anything.
Also a big fan of "free scroll mode" which is really practical for website scrolling.
Sadly, the wheel acts up sometimes and randomly doesn't register scrolling which can be pretty annoying in any fps shooter - other people seem to have this problem as well

1. Your Mouse: Logitech g9x
2. Your DPI: 800
3. Your in-game sens: 1.5
4. cm/360: 35cm (ish)
5. Any comments about the mouse:

The mouse is probably the heaviest mouse you can still find, however it's no longer in production so you'd have to buy one used, or buy one of the last few on Amazon for an absurd amount of money. It comes with 28 grams of adjustable weight, and I use all of them. Off of the top of my head, the weight comes out to be around 185 grams total, which is by far heavier than almost every mouse you could find. I use the razer goliathus control edition mousepad for extra friction as well.

1. Logitech g402
2. 800 dpi
3. Your in-game sens - 0.85
4. cm/360 - 45-50cm
5. Any comments about the mouse:

I love the mouse. Feels as good as G400s and the sensor seems amazing. I also have Goliathus Control Large mousepad - gravity edition.

I had few DeathAdders before this and the DA's just don't suit me.. I also have tons of mousepads but this one feels the best.

1. Mouse: Mionix Avior 7000
2. DPI: 800
3. In-game sens: 1.7
4. Distance: 25cm for 360
5. Mousepad: Kingston HyperX FURY S (XL)
6. fov: 108 (in DIscord people also wonder about it. since it also changes your perspective, it's important to know this setting)

I used to have Steelseries Sensei for almost 5 years which I liked a lot even though people said it wasnt good since it was laser. The sensor was pretty responsive, the shape was comfortable. The Mionix, on the other hand, has kinda a good sensor, the shape is also good but sometimes I press the right side buttons accidentally. I've read about it but having them was an important criterion for me (I use page up/down a lot besides gaming).

1. Onn Optical Mouse (Generic shit)
2. Good question! I still can't determine it!
3. 6.7 sens with 0.0 mouseaccel
4. Approximately 6 cm / 360
5. It's no gaming mouse, that's for sure. Still, it didn't provide bad results.

With additional (probably useless) information included!
6. /fov 100
7. /aspect 1.6
8. 1280 x 1024 screen

3. 3,0 sensitivity
4. ~4cm/360 (I only have a mousepad for about 20cm)
5. fov 110
1680x1050 screen
How the hell can you play with >25cm/360?
